Beer & Bites 2.0 is going VIRTUAL! Gather your quarantine team and family and join in the virtual fun! Together, we are making a difference for South Sound cancer patients from the safety and comfort of home.
During these unprecedented times, cancer patients are navigating new challenges in accessing treatment while continuing the battle for new treatment options. Your support provides HOPE. Thank you for joining us!
How Do I Participate In The Virtual Event?
Click on the Live Stream button above when the event goes live on Saturday, October 3rd. We recommend you tune in with 2 devices (computer/tablet/cell phone) or open 2 tabs in your internet browser. This will allow you to simultaneously watch the livestream program and bid in the mobile bidding platform during the event.
You will also be able to easily track Packages by “following” their activity without having to continuously return to a table or bid sheet.
What Will The Program Be Like During Beer & Bites 2.0?
The livestream broadcast will begin with a "Happy Hour" from 5:30pm-6 pm. This will be your opportunity to make sure your account is set up for bidding, hear a little more about the South Sound CARE Foundation, and prepare your 'game plan' for bidding on items with - or against! - your friends and family.
Starting at 6 pm local auctioneer favorite Jim Borgen will lead us into 11 unique Live Auction items alongside SSCF Board Member and community volunteer Mary Byrne. There will also be a paddle raise section led by SSCF Founder Dr. Frank Senecal. This is everyone's opportunity to participate with a 100% charitable donation helping to advance the mission of the South Sound CARE Foundation: To bring the opportunity for life-saving, cutting edge clinical trials to patients in the South Sound.
The Online Auction will open on Wednesday, September 30th at 8 AM and will close on Sunday, October 4th at 9 PM.
The Live Auction will open on Friday, October 2nd at 8 AM and will close during the Live Stream on Saturday, October 3rd at 6 PM.
The Almost Live (anything with alcohol) will open on Saturday, October 3rd at 8 AM and will close on Saturday, October 3rd at 10 PM.
How Can I Purchase an Auction Item or Donate to South Sound CARE Foundation?
- Register for online bidding - https://sscare2020.ggo.bid/
- Click on "Start Bidding"
- Bid on your favorite auction packages
- Donate in the special virtual paddle raise during and after the livestream event
- The online auction will close on Sunday, October 4th at 8 PM
Here are the steps to get registered to bid:
- Go to https://sscare2020.ggo.bid/
- Click the "Start Bidding" button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
- Click the green "Create Account" button.
- Enter your email address.
- Wait for verification email (check your junk/spam folder if you don't receive it)
- Follow the verification link and complete the form. Be sure to provide your mobile number.
- Verify payment method, billing address, email and mobile number are correct. Click on grey boxes to update information.
- Click on the "Start Bidding!" link to enter the online auction
